Cliff’s interest in real estate began at the age of 13 while spending summers working with his family’s real estate property management company, ABA Rental Properties. He then served in an administrative role with Richard Ray Real Estate.

After graduating Cum Laude from NC State University with a degree in Business Management (Marketing Concentration) in 2004, Ray moved to Wilmington, NC, to pursue a career in real estate brokerage and commercial development. Ray associated his broker’s license with Maus, Warwick, Matthews and Company and concentrated on raw land, office buildings and industrial buildings. It was with this success that Ray was able to obtain the CCIM designation (Certified Commercial Investment Member).In 2008, Ray formed Ray Development and Consulting, LLC. He is actively licensed NC Real Estate broker through Ray Properties, Inc. Ray served as President of the Realtors Commercial Alliance of Southeastern NC, a division of the Wilmington Regional Association of Realtors®. In 2010, he was elected to and continues to serve on the Board of Directors for the Jacksonville-Onslow Economic Development Council, currently as Treasurer. He is a member of the Jacksonville-Onslow Chamber of Commerce, the Jacksonville Rotary Club, and the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation Board of Trustees.Ray currently lives in Wilmington with his wife Holly, where he is a member of Wrightsville United Methodist Church and is currently pursuing a Masters in Business Administration from UNC Wilmington’s Cameron School of Business. He enjoys surfing and competitive triathlons in his spare time.
